Steven Forward is a Newcastle-based photographer, drone operator, storm chaser, martial artist and passionate community contributor.
Living an active life and always looking for ways to support others, Steven never imagined that an ordinary morning in January would change everything.
After suffering a double brain aneurysm and being given just a 2% chance of survival, Steven spent 12 days in ICU, lost 18 days of memory and began the long journey of recovery, resilience and rebuilding his life.
Steven is using his experience to raise awareness about brain aneurysms, the importance of recognising the signs, and the reality that survival is only the beginning.
His story is a powerful reminder that life can change in a moment, and that, through awareness, connection, and community support, sharing one person’s journey can help many others.
