David Martin
David Martin is a Director and Men’s Program Facilitator at Survivors R Us, a Lake Macquarie-based community organisation supporting those facing domestic violence, homelessness, and hardship. Drawing from his own lived experience with trauma, loss, and resilience,
David founded Sons of the Phoenix—a transformative men’s health initiative that creates safe, non-judgmental spaces for men to talk, heal, and rebuild their lives. Through peer support, practical programs, and community connection, David is helping men rise from silence and stigma—one honest conversation at a time. His mission is simple but profound: to remind every man that he is not alone, and that strength can be found in vulnerability.
